  • With its novel overhead architecture, slimmer boom-mounted arms, extended instrument reach, guided targeting, and integrated auxiliary technology, the Xi manages to address several limitations of earlier models
  • The versatility of this new system allows it to be implemented in a wide range of colorectal procedures – from complex multi-quadrant colectomies to challenging mesorectal dissections in the pelvis

TomoTherapy

  • The TomoTherapy System is among the most revolutionary innovations in the history of cancer treatment
  • Completely redefining the standard for individualised and precise treatment of tumors anywhere in the body
  • The first truly complete IGRT/IMRT solution, TomoTherapy combines integrated CT imaging for exceptional treatment accuracy with a first-of-its-kind helical treatment
  • Delivery platform that uses patented beam-shaping technology to precisely target tumors while minimising impact on surrounding healthy tissue

HIPEC

  • HIPEC stands for Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy
  • The aim of a HIPEC operation is to remove as much of the cancer as possible and then destroy any cancers cells that can’t be seen with the naked eye by putting hot chemotherapy inside the abdomen at a high temperature for 30-90 minutes

PIPAC

  • PIPAC is Pressurised Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy
  • It is a new method of giving chemotherapy to patients with advanced abdominal cancer in which chemotherapy is given directly into the abdominal cavity
Computed Tomography (CT)
  • CT scans use special X-rays to capture images of internal organs from several different angles
  • The images are sent to a computer, which generates cross-sections of body tissues and organs
  • CT imaging can uncover cancers in many parts of the body
  • Ultrasound and CT scans can also be used as guidance for biopsies
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • MRI uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of organs and tissues within the body
  • An MRI scan uses a large magnet, radio waves, and a computer to create a detailed, cross-sectional image of internal organs and structures
Radiography (X-ray)
  • Radiography is one of the oldest forms of imaging examinations, and is still the most frequently used>
  • This imaging technique uses low energy X-rays to produce an image of the organs and tissues>
  • A typical X-ray examination lasts about 15 minutes per each area of interest, during which time several images may be taken>
Ultrasound (also called Sonography or Ultrasonography)
  • Ultrasound is an imaging examination that uses the energy of high-frequency sound waves to produce an image of the organs and tissues
  • The tissues will reflect, absorb, and refract the waves differently, and these "echoes" are collected and transformed into an image
  • A standard ultrasound examination may last up to 60 minutes, during which several images may be taken
Mircrobiology
  • Microbiology is the scientific study of microorganisms
  • Microorganisms are those organisms that are too small to see with the naked eye and include things like bacteria, fungi, and viruses
Histopathology
  • The department has a full-fledged Histopathology section equipped with automated tissue processors, embedding station and cryostat, experienced pathologists and dedicated staff, providing highest quality surgical pathology services
Cytopathology
  • Cytopathology, more commonly known as cell biology, studies cell structure, cell composition and the interaction of cells with other cells as well as the larger environment in which they exist
  • Cytopathology analyzes cell structure to diagnose disease
  • The cytopathology section offers the full range of Exfoliative and Interventional Cytopathology investigations
Clinical Pathology
  • Clinical Pathology section looks after investigations involving analysis of urine and stool along with analysis of body fluids such as pleural, pericardial, ascetic fluid, CSF etc. to ascertain the nature of effusion
